Traveling to Disney World is always exciting, but packing four parks into three days with park hopper tickets and a tight flight schedule adds a thrilling challenge. In March 2026, I took on this adventure with an early morning flight, a two-night hotel stay, and a late-night flight home. Here’s a detailed look at how I made the most of every moment, including the rides, shows, and tips that helped me enjoy a truly magical trip.

Day 1: Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios
Early Arrival and Flight Details
We arrived at my local airport at 4:30 AM and boarded a flight at 5:55 AM. After a smooth flight, we landed at Orlando International Airport (MCO) at 8:55 AM EST. This early start was crucial to maximize park time.
Since we were staying at Disney All Star Sports resort and flew Southwest, we were able to utilize the free luggage transfer offered by Disney and head straight to Animal Kingdom around 9:15 AM.
What We Did at Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom was a perfect start with its mix of thrilling rides and immersive shows. From around 10:00 AM to about 3:00 PM we were able to accomplish:
Expedition Everest which gave us an adrenaline rush with its fast-paced roller coaster.
The Festival of the Lion King show's vibrant, live performance that brought the story to life.
The Kilimanjaro Safari, spotting animals in a naturalistic setting.
The new Zootopia Better Together show which was a fun, interactive experience.
The Nav’i River Journey and Avatar Flight of Passage which took us into the magical world of Pandora with stunning visuals and smooth rides.
Afternoon at Hollywood Studios
After a full morning, we moved to Hollywood Studios to catch some classic and new favorites:
Tower of Terror gave us chills with its thrilling drops.
Star Tours was a fun, immersive Star Wars simulator.
We loved Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway for its creative animation and storytelling.
Toy Story Mania was a competitive and entertaining 4D shooting game - which I won for just the second time ever.
The day ended with Fantasmic, a spectacular nighttime show with fireworks, water effects, and beloved Disney characters - and my personal favorite show in the parks.
Day 2: EPCOT and Magic Kingdom
The plan was to start early at EPCOT to try to knock out one of the "big 4" rides that tend to have long lines. Since we were staying on Disney property, we utilized the Early Entry and arrived over 30 minutes before the park opened to the general public.
EPCOT Highlights
EPCOT offered a mix of thrilling rides and cultural experiences:
We rode Guardians of the Galaxy twice, enjoying the fast-paced action and music. We ended up using our Early Entry time to get in the standby line for this ride since Test Track was not running. We were able to get through the line in under an hour using the Early Entry access and then return later that afternoon for our designated Single Lightning Lane time.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure was a delightful 4D ride that captured the charm of the movie.
Walking through the World Showcase gave me a taste of different cultures and cuisines. We took our time grabbing snacks - like a turkey leg - taking photos and exploring each of the countries.
We took advantage of the VISA Cardholder Exclusive Photo Pass for some unique photo opportunities. This is up by Journey into Imagination with Figment and is a revolving cast of characters. Guests do not know who the character(s) available for meet and greet and pictures that day is until it is their turn in line.
Soarin’ provided breathtaking aerial views that felt like flying over famous landmarks.
Evening at Magic Kingdom
Later, we headed to Magic Kingdom to enjoy classic attractions and the parade:
Space Mountain gave us a thrilling indoor roller coaster experience.
Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid was a charming dark ride.
The Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away Parade was a magical way to end the evening with colorful floats and music. This was my first time seeing the parade and we took the opportunity to find a spot on the curb on Main Street about 45 minutes before the first parade of the night started. It was a nice rest time and gave us a great view of the parade - a tip I did not know before this parade is this parade is one in which the early parade actually starts by the Emporium on Main Street and heads towards Frontierland. All other parades in Magic Kingdom take the opposite route, starting in Frontierland and ending at the park entrance by the Emporium.
Day 3: Magic Kingdom and Departure
Most of the Day at Magic Kingdom
We dedicated the last day to exploring Magic Kingdom’s iconic rides and shows:
Space Mountain and TRON Lightcycle Run gave us two thrilling roller coaster experiences.
We enjoyed the classic Pirates of the Caribbean ride and the nostalgic Country Bear Jamboree show.
The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade was a colorful and lively event with favorite characters.
We visited the spooky Haunted Mansion and the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which brought fresh storytelling to the park.
We also managed to spend some time in Fantasyland riding It’s a Small World, Mickey’s Philharmagic, Mad Tea Party, and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
Final Hurrahs at Hollywood Studios
Having accomplished just about everything we wanted to at Magic Kingdom, we still had a couple hours before we had to leave for the airport. So, we decided to hop back to Disney's Hollywood studios to take in a couple final shows before returning home:
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing Along Celebration offered a retelling of the first Frozen movie through a series of jokes, character appearances, and the movie's most iconic songs. I know many parents and adults sometimes have nightmares about the Frozen soundtrack after hearing it so much but I recommend this show every time if for nothing other than the storytellers. They offer a comedic retelling of the story with jokes that all ages can enjoy - yes, even the adults.
Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After is the newest show at the park featuring the iconic villains of Cruella De Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent. In this interactive show the audience gets to decide which villain is the most misunderstood.
Our flight home was leaving MCO at 10:05 PM EST, so due to reported TSA delays at the airport, we left Hollywood Studios for the airport 7:00 PM.

Tips for a Successful 3-Day Park Hopper Trip
Start early and plan your park hopping carefully. Arriving at the airport before dawn allowed us to maximize park time.
Use park hopper tickets to your advantage. Moving between parks in the afternoon and evening helped us experience more attractions.
If able, utilize Lightning Lanes. We bought Lightning Lane Multi-pass for each day and were able to have reduced lines for most rides. We also bought the Single Lightning Lane passes for the top tier rides of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Avatar Flight of Passage, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and TRON Lightcycle Run.
Prioritize must-see rides and shows. We focused on favorites and new experiences to make the most of limited time.
Take breaks and stay hydrated. Long days can be tiring, so short rests helped me keep energy up.
Use exclusive offers like the VISA Cardholder Photo Pass. These add special memories without extra hassle.
